Of course tea is wonderfully delicious to drink. It can be relaxing, soothing, invigorating, stimulating and just plain delicious. Tea is also antioxidant-rich and good for your health in so many different ways, on the inside and outside.

Black teaHere are some health and beauty tips that you may want to ponder as you sip your cup of tea.

Chase the Gray Away – You can turn your gray hair dark again without making a trip to your beauty parlor, which saves you both time and money. Instead, make your own natural dye using herbs and brewed tea. Simply make a strong brew of 3 teabags in 1 cup of boiling water. To this add 1 tablespoon each of rosemary and sage. You can use either fresh or dried rosemary, they will both work equally well.

Let your mixture brew overnight. Then strain. To use your homemade dye, simply shampoo as usual, and then pour or spray tea dye onto your hair, making sure to saturate it thoroughly. Blot your hair with a towel, but do not rinse. You may have to apply this treatment several times before you get the results that you want, but it is cheaper and better than using chemicals on your hair.

Turn Up the Shine – Then, after you get the gray out, you will want your hair to shine. After a regular shampoo, use a quart of warm, unsweetened tea as a final rinse. The tea can be freshly brewed or instant, but either one should give you beautiful shine.

Tea Tan – If you want to avoid getting wrinkles, then stay out of the sun. But if you stay out of the sun you may be pale and faded, not the best look. So give your skin a healthy glow by brewing 2 cups of strong, black tea and letting it cool. Then pour it into a spray bottle. Make sure that your skin is clean and dry. Spray the tea onto your skin and let it air dry. Repeat this process until you get the glow that you desire.
