Happy National Hot Tea Month! đźŤµ

Happy National Hot Tea Month! Each January for the past few years, we here at the English Tea Store are always celebrating National Hot Tea Month. Since we are a store that sells tea, much of our customer base enjoy their tea hot. But who do we have to thank for hot tea? The tea kettle! The best way to get your tea to steep is through fresh, piping hot water.

Stove Top Tea Kettles

For generations, millions of people boiled water on the stovetop in their kettles. Today, there are still some who like to go with the traditional method of boiling water on the stove top. If you want your tea to be the hottest, go with the stove top kettle. Stove top kettles are capable of boiling water to even hotter than the boiling point so if you love VERY hot tea, this is your go-to.

Electric

In these high tech times where most people are always online, tea drinkers have also plugged in their way to a hot cup of tea. Electric kettles have proved to be more convenient since they free up more space on the stove top, and can work just about anywhere in your home as long as there is an electrical outlet. Some are standard and just boil water but others are able to increase or decrease in temperature in addition to other features. Some are made with plastic, stainless steel, or even glass. (Just be VERY careful when handling a glass kettle!).

When shopping for a new tea kettle, always think about what you need. If you enjoy convenience and extra cooking space, then go with the electric kettle. If you prefer to use the stove, then go with the traditional kettle. As long as they get your water hot for tea, kettles do the job!
