We are deeply saddened by the loss of Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96 on September 8, 2022. 

Her Majesty dedicated her life to serving her people. Even before she was queen she was in the Auxillary Territorial Service, working as a mechanic. She was also a patron to a large number of charities. 

Her Majesty also loved like no other. She was married to Prince Philip and were married for well over sixty years. She bore four children who later gave her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her Majesty also adored her corgis. She had loved them since her childhood and received one named Susan on her 18th birthday. All 30 of her corgis throughout her reign were descendents of Susan.

Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne was glorious and victorious. Even though most of us had never met her, it still felt like we all knew her. She was the only monarch most of us have ever known. Now that she’s gone, the Commonwealth will now crown their first king in decades. 

We at the English Tea Store offer our condolences to the Royal Family. We will raise a cup to Her Majesty, to thank and honor her for seventy years of service.
