Get Pinterested in Tea

Where do you draw the line when it comes to social media?

There are only 24 hours in a day, and if you tried to keep up with every platform out there, you could easily spend most of that time online.

But every now and then, something comes along that’s hard to ignore—even if you’re usually a step or two behind the curve.

If that sounds familiar, it might be time for an introduction to

Pinterest
.

Our editor’s Pinterest boards

For a simple definition, Pinterest describes itself as:

“A virtual pinboard that allows you to organize and share things you find on the web. You can browse boards created by others to discover new ideas and inspiration.”

Even early on, publications like

this Forbes article on Pinterest marketing

recognized its potential for businesses and content creators.

How Pinterest Works

Pinterest is built around three main elements:

  • People — users of the platform
  • Pins — images or content shared
  • Boards — collections of pins organized by topic

If you’ve used other social media platforms, actions like pinning, repinning, and liking will feel familiar.

Tea on Pinterest

So where does

tea

fit into all of this?

As you might expect, Pinterest has a wide range of tea-related content. Some common themes include:

And of course, there are curated boards like those from our

featured tea Pinterest profile
, offering a more focused tea experience.

To explore tea content, simply search for a keyword on Pinterest. You’ll find a mix of Pins, Boards, and People centered around your topic.

From there, the challenge becomes knowing when to stop scrolling!

Final Thoughts

Pinterest can be a fantastic source of inspiration—especially for tea lovers—but like all social media, it’s easy to lose track of time.

Enjoy it—but don’t forget to step away and brew a real cup of tea.

  1. […] don’t create any of my own video content, so I never really bothered with YouTube, and when Pinterest came along, I once again invoked the rule of not spreading myself too thin and decided to abstain. […]

  2. As a Tea Event Caterer I love searching for all things tea: teaware, tea foods, tablescapes, fun tea party themes! Have a tea-themed board? Let me know, I’d love to follow you! Check out my board http://pinterest.com/teathymelady/tea-party-loves/

    1. Normally, our blog policy is to remove links from comments. However, I checked out your Pinterest board and found it delightful and full of tea treasures! Hope you will check out my board, too. Just click on the image in the article to go to it. Thanks for reading, and keep up the great tea themed pinning! 🙂

  3. Don’t worry about being ready for timeline. FB will just force you to it when they are ready.

  4. The only problem with Pinterest is that in order to post photos it requires a FB timeline format. I’m not quite ready to give up my “old” FB format, tho’ do enjoy browsing others’ pinboards.

    1. Not sure that Pinterest is worth you switching to the new FB timeline, but I was already on it (sigh!), so started using Pinterest. Enjoy the browsing. Lots of interesting stuff out there. 🙂
